MacArthur ended Southeast’s 15 game winning streak with a 74-65 win on Friday in a potential preview of the MacArthur regional finals that will be played in exactly two weeks. In doing so, they defeated the No. 1 team in the state in Class 3A for the second time in as many seasons. Last year, MacArthur handed Lanphier their first loss of the year after a 13-0 start to the season.
Amir Brummett led MacArthur with 25 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and six steals. Armon Brummett added 23 points, six rebounds and four steals for the Generals. Anthony Fairlee’s 25 points paced the Spartans in their first loss since mid-December.
