Athens posted 489 ground yards with three different 100 yard rushers as the Warriors beat Auburn 56-21 in Friday’s Week 4 matchup. Warriors sophomore Nic Laird led the way with 149 yards on six carries and four total touchdowns. Charles Molitoris ran 16 times for 124 yards and a score and Mason Reiff finished with 108 yards, including a 93 yard touchdown run.
Athens improves to 4-0 on the season with the win. The Warriors host Pittsfield next week. Auburn falls to 1-3 and with a home game against North Mac on the slate for Week 5.
